After several delays and postponements, it was good to see AgFest return and the high level of customer interest in smart solid set irrigation.
We hope this is another sign the industry is returning to a more normal state.
Smart solid set irrigation is now helping more Tasmanian farmers improve their irrigation scheduling and efficiency.
There are many similarities between Tasmania and the South Island of New Zealand, including the climate, availability of irrigation water, extensive hilly terrain and the need to provide centre pivot corner infill irrigation.
Whilst the Tasmanian solid set system designs, including the post spacing and size of sprinkler guns, are different to what we see in New Zealand, the benefits and advantages of solid set are the same.
Agfest is a multi-award-winning agricultural field days organised by volunteer members of Rural Youth Tasmania. These young, passionate and innovative members spend hours planning, working, managing and promoting the event to ensure everyone enjoys the Agfest experience.
Agfest 2023 is already scheduled to run from 4th to 6th May 2023, with the cloud based show available from 6th to 12th May.
