We are delighted to announce a new version of the IPC, the “Rev E”.
This latest iteration of the IPC has better battery management and is designed to improve serviceability and streamline the manufacturing process.
Key new features and changes include:
• Improvements to battery and power management
• Improvements to time keeping accuracy
• Magnet operation changes – A single magnet is now used for turning the IPC on, off and bootloader mode
• Removal of the previous transit magnet and case sticker
• The IPC status indicator is now on the front. The blue LED is visible below the solar panel
• Redesign of the production test interfaces for improved factory fault diagnosis
We will commence shipping the new IPC “Rev E” for the Spring 2025 Season.
A new YouTube training video will be provided soon so everyone can become familiar.
In the meantime please check out the Water-Insight channel for all the existing videos covering IMS use, EP3 use and IPC troubleshooting.
The following notes will be on a printed sheet, included in each carton of Rev E IPCs:
Irrigation Pod Controller – Rev E
Please read this prior to installation, there are important differences to earlier versions of the IPC.
The previous IPC transit magnet function and associated sticker have been replaced.
The Rev E introduces a single MAGNET label on the left-hand side which provides power on/off and programming capability.
- The IPC is off when you receive it and must be turned on to configure and operate.
- A magnet is required to turn the IPC on; the magnet is no longer stuck under the label like previous versions. The magnet is in a separate bag in the box.
- The status LED is on the front of the IPC below the solar panel.
- To turn an IPC on
- Hold a magnet beside the magnet label for 2s
- You should see 3 long flashes of the LED to confirm it has turned on
- To turn an IPC off
- Hold a magnet beside the magnet label for 2s
- You should see 4 short flashes to indicate it has turned off
- If the battery is unplugged (replaced) the IPC will need to be turned on again once the battery is reconnected
Programming / boot loader mode, to put the IPC in programming mode
- The IPC must first be ON
- Next, hold a magnet on the magnet label for 5s
- The LED will flash rapidly to indicate programming mode is active
