The EP4 SmartBridge integrates with IMS Connect and transforms your smart phone into the ultimate IPC configuration and troubleshooting tool.
The downloadable IMS Connect app will be available for both Android and Apple devices.
Key features and improvements include:
Small footprint and improved form factor to fit in your shirt pocket. Slimmer, compact and with an internal antenna. The case is a rugged commercial grade enclosure.
Rechargeable battery – USB recharging of the Internal 1500mA battery – Charge the EP4 battery from your vehicle while working.
The EP4 connects with the smart phone via a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface and bridging the radio communication with the IPC.
Enabling the geolocation capability on the smart phone allows quick location and contact of nearby IPCs.
QR Codes – You can now scan the QR code on the IPC to speed up and simplify installation.
No SD Card in the EP4 – IMS Connect will build a local IPC database and send data and synchronise it to an IMS account. You no longer need to use SD cards to transfer site data.
Use offline if there is no cellular coverage. The data will be synched and uploaded to IMS when back in cellular data or Wi-Fi coverage.
Auto-fix – The app automatically diagnoses communications issues and adjusts parameters to resolve them.
Improved workflow – Redesigned to make frequent operations easier to access, understand and use.
The development project focused on addressing user feedback on the EP3 and to deliver an intuitive and user-friendly approach to IPC management.
Not only does IMS Connect and the EP4 SmartBridge replace the current EP3 handheld controller, it continues to demonstrate our commitment to the IMS platform and the future of smart solid set irrigation.
